Improving the quality of life
Smoking Cessation
Smoking Cessation

Smoking kills around 114,000 people in the UK  each year.

Your life expectancy is about 8-12 years less than a non-smoker

Cigarette smoke contains 60 substances that are known to cause cancer.

More than 17,000 children under five are admitted to hospital every year due to the effects of passive smoking.

The skin of a 40 year old smoker is as damaged as that of a 60 year old non-smoker.

At today's prices, a 20-a-day smoker will spend more than £37,000 over the next 20 years

Low Level Laser Treatment for smoking cessation

Low level laser therapy uses the same principle of acupuncture. But instead of needles, the laser is applied to specific body points to block addiction receptors and stimulate the release of endorphins into the body.

By blocking addiction receptors in the brain, the endorphin release allows clients to stop smoking without the withdrawal symptoms. The procedure is quick, easy, painless, and takes about 30 minutes to complete.

We work on three different areas with the treatment. First, we stimulate the lymphatic system to boost the body’s cleansing process, second, we treat reflexology points to detox the body and clear out the toxins left by nicotine. Thirdly we treat the acupuncture points for the addiction to nicotine, to help block your body's need for that drug and to help avoid the withdrawal symptoms that you would normally experience if you tried to quit on your own, such as irritability, getting short tempered, etc.

The programme includes four  treatments over a two week period. If necessary a free treatment or booster is available within six months, because we understand that unexpected troubles happen in life.
